DESCRIPTION:

Annual, stems branched, erect, up to 15-50 cm. Leaves deeply lobed, 1-* 3-12 cm, basal rosette of leaves on stalks, stem leaves without stalks. Flowerheads terminal, solitary or paired, purplish-blue, 0.5-1.5 cm across, not opening wide. Fruit 0.3 cm long, attached to tufts of 0.2 cm long hairs.
