  • REMARKS:leaves fall off quickly leaving bear with fruit capsules. This is the wild variety of the garden plant Poinsettia.


DESCRIPTION:

Annual, stems branched, erect, up to 60 cm. Leaves elliptic, pointed tip, finely toothed, 2-5*4-10 cm. Milky sap exuded when stems are broken. Inflorescence densely clustered in leaf nodes or terminal, yellow and red. Bracts leaf-like, tinged red at base. Fruit a 3-lobed capsule, drooping on stalk up to 0.5 cm. Seeds conical. Flowering from January to April.
