DESCRIPTION:
Annual or perennial, stems branching distally, erect, up to 10-50 cm, with short woolly hair. Basal leaves with stalk, upper leaves clasping. Leaves oblong to spoon-shaped, with serrated edges and pointed tips. Inflorescence terminal, dense spray with numerous tiny flowers on 0.2-1 cm long stalks. Flowers white, c. 0.7 cm across. Fruit pale-brown, heart-shaped, 0.3-0.5 * 0.35-0.45 cm, on 1 cm long, thin stalk, with a persistent style emerging from tip, 2 ovoid brown seeds. Flowering from February to May.
