I am honoured to be part of the Advisory Board Committee for the Biotechnology Program at Amity Dubai University, and I truly appreciate the trust placed in me. This invitation is more than a recognition—it is a responsibility to help shape the next generation of biotechnologists in the UAE.

Biotechnology is evolving at extraordinary speed. New tools, emerging markets, and global challenges demand academic programs that are dynamic, future-focused, and directly connected to real-world research. Amity University’s decision to engage industry leaders is a strong signal that they take this mission seriously.

Why Industry–Academic Collaboration Matters

When universities bring active researchers and industry experts into their academic planning, the impact is immediate and meaningful. It ensures the curriculum remains relevant, competitive, and aligned with national and global trends.

Industry input answers the hard but essential questions:

  • What technologies should students master to meet market expectations?

  • Which skills will biotechnology companies seek in the coming years?

  • How can academic programs anticipate scientific and industrial shifts?

This partnership between academia and industry creates graduates who are not just knowledgeable—but truly ready.

Industrial Research: A Catalyst for Academic Excellence

Industrial research comes with real constraints, real pressures, and real outcomes. It bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. When Amity University integrates these insights:

  • Curricula become forward-looking and innovation-driven.

  • Students learn to solve problems that matter in real laboratory environments.

  • Programs align with national priorities in biosciences, sustainability, AI-driven biotechnology, and environmental innovation.

Industrial research doesn’t replace academia—it strengthens it.

A Committee With a Mission

The Advisory Board at Amity University brings together faculty and industry professionals from across the UAE. This diverse mix ensures every decision benefits from both academic depth and real-world perspective.

From curriculum improvements to new program initiatives, the Board plays a central role in ensuring biotechnology students are fully prepared for the fast-evolving demands of the field.

Preparing the Next Generation of Biotechnologists

The UAE is rapidly expanding its research capacity and biotechnology footprint. Academic institutions like Amity University are essential partners in building a skilled, innovative, and globally competitive workforce.

I am proud to contribute to this mission. Together—with educators, researchers, and industry partners—we will empower students to become the biotechnologists the future relies on.
