DESCRIPTION:

Annual, forming small cushions on the ground. Stems very short. Leaves radiating from base, linear 0.5* 10-15 cm, crinkly edge, rounded tip. Flowerheads up to 15 in center of plant, c. 5 cm across, thistle-like, white, with spiny involucral bracts. Flowering from February to April.
