DESCRIPTION:

Annual, stems woody, stiff, radiating from base, prostrate, up to 30 cm, mat-forming. Leaves opposite, round or oval, 0.2–0.4 × 0.4–0.6 cm, dark green, on short stalks. Flowers white, about 0.6 cm across, on short stalks underneath branches. Sepals green with edged margins. Fruit splits into two smooth brown hemispherical sections (mericarps). Flowering from November to April.
