DESCRIPTION:

Annual, hairy, stems erect or spreading, up to 45 cm, upper stems reddish. Leaves linear to oblong, greyish, lower leaves sometimes toothed, 0.3-1.2*1-4(-7) cm. Flower heads 0.4-1 cm across, light purple or white on slender, straight stalks up to 10 cm. Seed head conspicuous with round, papery wings crowded together, interspersed with fine purple bristles. Flowering from February to April.
