In the middle of a very serious meeting on olive-tree propagation in desert environments — powered by advanced Spanish technology and supported by EU funding — something unexpected happened: we burst into laughter.

Not because the topic was light. Quite the opposite. We were discussing one of the most ambitious and impactful agricultural challenges in arid regions: how to successfully introduce resilient olive trees into harsh desert ecosystems using cutting-edge science, climate-adapted methodologies, and cross-border expertise.

But that spontaneous moment of joy reminded me of something essential:when you genuinely love what you do, even the most complex and technical conversations carry their own warmth.
